Spray Drying

Martech Research is one of just a few companies in the United States that has the capacity to help clients develop new products for spray drying.

Beginning at the Bench Scale level, we develop parameters, particle size and texture in gram quantities. In addition, Martech scales-up the process by developing Pilot Scale parameters and producing mid-sized runs. Once the pilot scale has been perfected, we then go into Full-Scale Production.

Bench Scale

Buchi Spray Dryer with a 300-gram per hour water evaporation rate.

Pilot Scale

Rotary atomized 2-meter spray dryer with a water evaporation rate of 150 pounds per hour. Full CIP system included.

Production Scale

Rotary atomized 4-meter spray dryer with a water evaporation rate of 750 pounds per hour. Fluidized bed dryer as 2nd stage CIP included.

Oil Emulsification

Martech Research has years of experience in emulsifying a variety of oils. We have a wealth of experience with numerous allergen-free emulsifying agents. Our capabilities with pre- and post-processing make many options possible.

R+D work can start at the bench scale and be developed into pilot and full-scale production. Emulsified solutions can then be spray-dried or further developed for processing.

Packaging available in tankers, tote tanks, 55-gallon drums, 6-gallon pails, and blue heat-sealed bags.
