I’ve always had a problem removing the scaly build-up on our shower walls and doors. This build-up is the direct result of the water we get from our deep, spring-fed well. Though clear and pure, the water is high in minerals. I’ve tried everything you can imagine to keep the shower clean, but to no avail. I’ve tried some of the best: OxyClean, everything ‘Mr. Clean’ makes, bleach and ammonia products—you name it, I’ve tried it.

A few years ago, when we remodeled our master-suite bathroom, I worked diligently to keep the scale from forming, but it showed up, anyway. I’d given in and resigned myself to the fact that there would always be some level of scaly build up on my shower doors and on the shower walls. And I became a skeptic, too. After trying so many products that promised to solve the problem, I developed a deep mistrust for any product that claimed to be able to do the trick.

A few months ago, my husband purchased a quart of Martech Research BioStream™ Descaler. When he brought it home, I told him it was just another waste of money. But a few weeks later (when I finally gave in and decided to take yet another chance on a cleaning product) I sprayed the shower doors, waited a few minutes, then rinsed well with a soft sponge. I couldn’t believe my eyes! Every bit of scaly, soap scum build-up was gone. The shower doors looked as good as the day they were installed! I proceeded to clean the shower walls and chrome fittings and they, too, turned out sparkling clean, and with very little effort on my part. And best of all, there was very little smell — no chemical odor or skin irritation.

I love this product, and am thrilled to have finally found a product that actually does what it promises to do—remove unsightly scales and slime from shower doors and showers. And, interestingly, the scaly/scummy film takes longer to re-appear after the “Martech Treatment” than with other cleaners! I can’t wait to try the other products Martech Research has to offer—the carpet cleaner, in particular.
